After a long first night the teams were finally drawn and the bandidos knew what was at stake, the winner got to take home the bandido cup and carry the title as the biggest bandit of the year, the loser got the wooden spoon and the title of DONKEY! We finally arrived on friday morning to the LAS RAMBLAS golf course, none of us had played a course as brutal as this. Every hole has either a blind shot, a take your life into your own hands ravine or a tropical rainforest protecting it as shabba found out, who by the end of his round had pretty much perfected his lumberjacking technique!! Now as brutal as the course played a special mention must go to one of our members Mabsy who for the first time in his playing career got his first EAGLE! The hole in which he managed this triumphant achievement was at the par 5, 4th at 478 mtrs he drove his ball and split the fairway leaving him a difficult second shot, which he had to carry across a huge ravine and land the ball on a narrow green. With the help of his rescue club he hit a towering shot and put the ball 6ft from the pin but his work was not done he still had a tricky right to left donwhill putt which he slammed straight in the midddle!!!! He then treble bogeyed the next hole, well done anyway Mabs! With all the magic taking place on the 5th the contest for the spoon was becoming an interesting battle with Meldrew, Pancho and Lucky racking up more 9's than Strictly Come Dancing. The team event on the other hand was looking to be a complete whitewash, the Bremners would have took all points if not for the solid play of The Bandit, who if he could putt like he can drive the ball would be ??????? (unstoppable...)

With the beautifully manicured fairways and lightning greens it was only fitting that the final days golf was played at LA FINCA golf course. As all the bandidos stood on the first tee watching each other hit soaring drives down the first fairway spirits were high but we were soon back into our normal games hitting every shaped  shot in the book except straight. Mabsy took a close lead on the first day but it was frog jr who started strong with a string of pars putting himself in contention for the bandido cup, at the other end of the leaderboard it was becoming clear that one man was playing his way to the title as the tours donkey! As all the bandidos finished their front nine it was still anyones to take the cup, on th 10th hole  shabba finally played something like his handicap suggests with his only birdie of the holiday. As the round was coming to a conclusion losses in the machplay team event halfway through back nine ment that the bremners beat the tashys by a very convincing scoreline.The woodenspoon and title as this years donkey went to none other than lucky, with a two day collated score of 192(most think that was his score for las ramblas alone)!!!!!That just left us to find out who won the bandido cup but as scores were being added up it was becoming clear we had a two way tie with collated scores 166 mabsy and frog jr so it was decided it would go to who had the most pars over the two days and with a total of five, mabsy took the winners cup and the first title as this years bandit!
